    Syllabus:

    The academic committee members designed the syllabus to draw an outline and to keep pace with the modern learning system. They have given priority to its flexibility as it is meant for the students of primary section.

    Primary Final Exam:

    Every year the students of class IV appear for the Primary Final Examination conducted by the Primary Education Development Board, W.B. for the development of the Primary Education. Meritorious students are honoured with State Level and District Level Scholarship and certificates.

    Achievement cum Diagnostic Test in Maths (ADTM):

    The students of class IV appear in ADTM test in Mathematics.

    Orientation (for students and teachers):

    Ongoing training programs are conducted for teachers and supporting staff to equip them with latest teaching trends. Seminars and symposiums are regularly attended.

    The newly admitted students attend orientation classes for three months prior to the commencement of regular session. Students are counseled regularly and made to undergo extensive training to get accustomed with the classroom environment and newer teaching methods, (which focus on the child centered activities and encourage infusion of periodic educational technology.)

    Evaluation of the students:

    Instead of one Annual Examination, Students’ performances are evaluated through a continuous evaluation system with three Terminal Examinations and continuous Internal Assessments.

    Marks distributed as follows:

    • 1st Term Examination -100 marks
    • 2nd Term Examination -100 marks
    • 3rd Term Examination – 100 marks
    • Continuous Internal Assessments – 100 marks

    Total weightage on Continuous Internal Assessment is 100 marks which have been allotted to Classwork, Homework and Oral evaluation. The remaining 10 marks are given on the basis of teachers’ observation throughout the year. The awarding of marks on observations is left to the discretion of respective teachers. Each assessment on classwork, Homework and Oral performance is of 10 marks. The general pattern to be followed in this respect is as under.
